Tommy the Tiger and the Moon
Tommy the tiger was a small tiger. He lived in a big, green jungle. Tommy liked to play with his friends. He liked to chase butterflies. But Tommy had a secret. He was scared of the moon!
Every night, when the sun went down, Tommy would hide. He would hide in his cave. He would close his eyes tight. He did not want to see the moon. The moon was big and bright. It made Tommy feel scared.
One night, Tommy's friend Leo the lion came to his cave. “Why are you always hiding, Tommy?” Leo asked. Tommy said, “I am scared of the moon! It is too big and too bright.”
Leo smiled. “The moon is not scary, Tommy. It just shines to give us light at night.” Leo asked Tommy to come outside with him. Tommy was scared, but he wanted to be brave for his friend. Tommy followed Leo out of the cave.
When Tommy looked up, he saw the moon. It was big, but it was also beautiful. The moon made the jungle look different. It made the trees look like they were dancing. Tommy looked at the moon with Leo. He was not scared anymore. He felt happy and safe with his friend.
From that night on, Tommy was not scared of the moon. He learned that sometimes, things that seem scary are not so scary after all. He learned that having a friend can make you brave.
