Maya and the Cake
Maya loves cake! One day, Dad made a big cake. It had yummy frosting and sprinkles.
Dad said, "Maya, you can have cake after lunch!" But Maya wanted cake now.
She looked in the kitchen. Dad was outside. Maya ate a little piece of cake. It was so good! She ate another piece and another. Soon, Maya ate almost half the cake!
Uh oh! Maya's tummy hurt. She said, "My tummy feels bad! I ate too much cake!"
Dad came inside. He saw Maya. "What's wrong?" he asked.
Maya said, "I ate too much cake!"
Dad smiled. "Too much of a good thing can hurt," he said. "It's good to eat just a little bit. Then you feel good!"
Maya learned a lesson. That night, she ate a little piece of cake. Her tummy felt happy!
