The Jupiter Moon Mystery
Once upon a time, there were four friends named Lily, Tom, Maya, and Ben. They loved space! They had a club called the "Star Explorers." One sunny day, they set up their big telescope in Lily’s backyard. They wanted to look at Jupiter, the biggest planet in our solar system.
Lily looked first. "Wow! Jupiter has stripes!" she said. Tom took a turn. "I see four bright dots near Jupiter," he said. "Those must be its moons!" Jupiter has many moons, and the kids knew some of their names.
Then, Maya looked through the telescope. "Wait a minute," she said. "I see something new! It’s a tiny moon. I don’t think it's one we know about!" Ben looked next. He looked and looked. "Maya is right! It’s very small, and it’s close to Jupiter."
The Star Explorers were so excited! Had they found a new moon? They ran inside to tell Lily’s mom, who was a scientist. She looked at their pictures and notes. "This is very interesting," she said. "I will send this to my friends who study space."
A few weeks later, Lily’s mom told them some big news. "You did it!" she said. "The scientists looked at your discovery. It really is a new moon! They are going to name it after your club. It will be called Star Explorer Moon!"
The kids jumped for joy. They had discovered a new moon! They learned that even kids can make big discoveries if they look closely and never stop wondering.
