The Feelings Friends

Once upon a time, in a land full of colorful trees, lived four friends. Their names were Happy, Sad, Angry, and Scared. Each friend had their own special feeling.

Happy was always smiling. When she felt happy, her face would light up. Her eyes sparkled, and her mouth made a big curve. Seeing Happy made others feel good, too.

Sad often had a little frown. When he felt sad, his eyes would get droopy. Sometimes, a tear would fall down his cheek. His friends knew when Sad was sad because his shoulders would slump.

Angry had a strong face. When he felt angry, his eyebrows would come together. His face would turn a little red. He would clench his fists tight. People could see that Angry needed some space when he looked like that.

Scared would open her eyes wide. When she felt scared, she would gasp. Her hands would tremble. Her friends knew Scared was scared when her voice got very quiet.

One sunny day, the four friends walked together. They saw a new friend sitting alone. They wanted to know how the new friend felt. Happy looked closely. She saw the new friend's mouth turned down. Sad saw a tear. Angry saw the friend’s hands in tight fists. Scared noticed how the friend was hiding behind a tree.

"I think our new friend feels a little bit of all of us," said Happy. "Maybe a bit sad, angry, and scared."

The four friends went to the new friend. They smiled kindly and said, "Hello! We are here for you. It's okay to feel all your feelings!"

The new friend looked up, surprised. Slowly, a small smile began to grow. The new friend knew that it was okay to feel happy, sad, angry, and scared, and that having friends was a wonderful thing.
