Pizza Fractions Fun!

Lily, Tom, and Mia were best friends. One sunny day, they decided to order a pizza. The pizza was big and round, and it smelled yummy!

"How should we share this?" asked Tom.

"Let's use fractions!" said Mia, who loved math.

First, Mia cut the pizza right down the middle. Now, there were two equal parts. "Each part is one-half," Mia said. "Lily, you get one-half, and Tom and I will share the other half."

Lily smiled and took her big slice. Tom and Mia looked at the remaining half. Mia cut it again, right down the middle. Now, there were two smaller slices.

"Each of these is one-quarter of the whole pizza," Mia explained. "Tom, you get one-quarter, and I get one-quarter."

Tom grabbed his slice. "This is so fair!" he said.

All three friends ate their pizza happily. They learned that fractions could make sharing easy and fun.

The next day, they ordered a square pizza. This time, they cut it into four equal squares right away. "One-fourth for each of us, and one extra!" shouted Lily. They each enjoyed their piece, and shared the last piece so everyone got a little more. Sharing with fractions made them all happy.
