Lily's Olympic Dream
Lily loved to ice skate. Every winter, she would go to the park with her mom. The ice rink sparkled like a giant diamond. Lily would glide and twirl. She felt like she was flying!
One day, Lily saw a figure skating show on TV. The skaters were so graceful and strong. They jumped high and spun fast. Lily knew right then, she wanted to be an Olympic figure skater.
But Lily faced a big problem. She lived in a place where it didn't snow much. There was no ice rink close to her home. Lily was sad, but she didn't give up. She practiced her moves on roller skates in her driveway. She watched videos of Olympic skaters. She imagined herself on the ice.
Her parents saw how much she wanted to skate. They found a small ice rink in a nearby town. It was far away, but they drove Lily there every weekend. Lily worked hard. She learned new jumps and spins. She fell down a lot, but she always got back up.
Years passed. Lily grew stronger and more skilled. Finally, the day came when she could try out for the Olympics. She was nervous, but she remembered her dream. She skated her best. She jumped high and spun fast. When she finished, the crowd cheered!
Lily made the team! She was going to the Olympics! She smiled. Her dream had come true.
At the Olympics, Lily skated her heart out. She didn't win a medal, but she didn't mind. She had worked hard and done her best. She was proud of herself. And she knew, no matter what, she would always love to skate.
