Chirpy's Big Discovery

Chirpy was a small cricket. He loved to jump! He jumped in the grass. He jumped on flowers. One day, Chirpy met a busy bee.

"Buzz, buzz! I am Poppy," said the bee. "I fly to flowers. I get nectar. I make honey!"

Chirpy jumped back. "Wow! That's a big job!"

Then, Chirpy saw a ladybug crawling on a leaf.

"Hello! I am Dot," said the ladybug. "I eat tiny bugs that hurt plants. I help the plants grow!"

Chirpy jumped again. "Amazing! You are a plant helper!"

Next, Chirpy met a worm in the dirt.

"Hi, I am Curly," said the worm. "I dig in the soil. I make it good for plants to grow roots."

Chirpy jumped one more time. "So cool! You help the plants from below!"

Chirpy thought about Poppy, Dot, and Curly. He jumped very high. "I want to help too!" he said.

He started to sing a song. The song told all the other bugs about Poppy, Dot, and Curly. He sang about how they helped the plants. He sang about honey and healthy soil. He sang and sang.

The other bugs listened. They learned about their friends. They knew that each one has a job. Chirpy was happy. He helped by sharing what he learned!
