A Paramedic's Day
Once upon a time, in a town like yours, lived a brave helper named Pam. Pam was a paramedic. A paramedic helps people who are hurt or sick.
Pam’s day starts early. She puts on her special uniform. It helps people know she is there to help. She checks her big truck, the ambulance. It has lights and sirens! It also has everything she needs to help people feel better.
When the phone rings at the station, Pam and her partner jump into the ambulance. Someone needs their help! They drive very fast, but very safely, to where they are needed. When they get there, Pam uses her tools to find out what’s wrong. She might listen to a heart or help someone breathe.
Pam and her partner help the person into the ambulance. They drive to the hospital so a doctor can help even more. Pam feels good when she helps people. Being a paramedic is hard work, but it’s also very important. Pam loves her job because she makes a big difference!
