The Little Bear and the Moon

Barnaby was a little bear who loved the moon. Every night, he would sit outside his cozy cave and stare up at the big, bright moon. He felt like the moon was his friend, even though it was so far away.

One day, Barnaby felt very lonely. His best friend, Rosie the rabbit, was visiting her grandma, and Barnaby missed her terribly. He looked up at the moon and sighed. "Oh, Moon," he said, "I wish I had someone to play with."

Suddenly, he saw something sparkle near him. It was a tiny star, no bigger than his paw! The star twinkled and floated closer.

"Hello," squeaked the little star. "I heard you were lonely. I'm Celeste."

Barnaby was surprised. "A talking star!" he exclaimed.

"Well, not really talking," Celeste giggled, making a tinkling sound. "More like twinkling my thoughts to you. The Moon told me you needed a friend."

Barnaby's face lit up. He and Celeste spent the rest of the evening playing hide-and-seek among the trees. Celeste lit up the forest with her gentle glow, making it easy for Barnaby to see. He learned that even though Celeste lived far away in the sky, she could still be a wonderful friend.

When Rosie returned, Barnaby introduced her to Celeste. The three of them became the best of friends, playing together under the watchful eye of the moon.
