Mia the Mini-Scientist
Mia was a very curious girl. She loved to explore and discover new things. One sunny morning, Mia asked her dad, "What does a scientist do?"
Her dad smiled and said, "Scientists are like detectives! They ask questions and try to find the answers by looking closely at things. They observe, they experiment, and they learn!"
Mia's eyes lit up. She decided she wanted to be a scientist for the day! She grabbed her backpack and put on her mom's reading glasses. She felt ready for an adventure.
First, Mia went to her backyard. She saw a big rock, a small flower, and a green leaf. "Hmm," she thought. "Which one is the heaviest?" She picked up each one. The rock was the heaviest! "I discovered the rock is the heaviest!" she shouted. "I am a scientist!"
Next, Mia went to the kitchen. She found an orange, a lemon, and a strawberry. "Which fruit is the sourest?" she wondered. She tasted a tiny bit of each. The lemon made her face scrunch up! "I found it! The lemon is the sourest," Mia declared. "Science is yummy!"
Mia learned that scientists ask questions, explore, and discover answers all around them. She was so excited to be a mini-scientist and couldn't wait for her next adventure!
