Selfies Through Time – The Squire’s Big Day

So, today is HUGE! It’s the summer jousting tournament, and I’m squire to Sir Cedric the Brave! #SirCedricForTheWin My job is to help him get ready for his big match. It’s like being a pit crew for a race car, but with horses and armor!

First things first, gotta polish that armor! 🛡️ It needs to shine so bright that his opponent is blinded by the light… okay, maybe not blinded, but you gotta look your best, right? #ArmorShine #SquireDuties

Then, I make sure his lance is sturdy and sharp. A wobbly lance is a no-go! Sir Cedric’s gotta be ready to knock his opponent right off his horse! #LanceReady #JoustingTournament

And finally, the most important job: moral support! "You got this, Sir Cedric!" I tell him. He’s a bit nervous, but I know he can do it! #MoralSupport #BestSquireEver

OMG! He won! #VictoryRoyale Sir Cedric totally crushed it! He knocked the other knight right off his horse! The crowd is going wild! #CrowdSurfing

I feel so proud! Even though I didn’t actually joust, I helped Sir Cedric be his best. He even told me, "Tom, you’ll be a knight one day!"

For now, I’m happy being a squire. I get the best view of all the action, and I get to help a brave knight. Being a loyal squire gives me a purpose. #SquireForLife #BestView
