

Tigers: Big Cats!
Do you know about tigers? They are big cats! Tigers live far away. They are orange with black stripes. These stripes help them hide.
Where Tigers Live
Tigers live in forests and grasslands. These places have lots of trees and tall grass. Tigers like to hide in these spots. They wait for food to come by. Some tigers live where it is cold. Others live where it is hot.
What Tigers Eat
Tigers eat meat. They like to eat deer and pigs. Sometimes they eat birds or fish. Tigers are good hunters. They are quiet and fast.
Tiger Cubs
Baby tigers are called cubs. The mother tiger takes care of her cubs. She teaches them how to hunt. Cubs stay with their mother for about two years. Then they go off on their own.
Saving Tigers
Some people are helping tigers. They want to make sure tigers have a safe place to live. We can all help too! We can learn about tigers and tell others about them.
- Stripes: Lines on the tiger's fur.
- Forests: Places with many trees.
- Cubs: Baby tigers.
- Hunt: To find and catch food.
