The Pumpkin Patch Mystery

The crisp air of late October swirled through the California neighborhood of Sunnyvale. Palm trees swayed in the breeze, their fronds rustling like whispered secrets. Halloween was just around the corner, and ten-year-old Lily could hardly contain her excitement. This year, she decided, was going to be epic.

Lily loved everything about Halloween: the costumes, the candy, and especially the pumpkin patch down the street. Old Mr. Abernathy, a kindly man with a twinkle in his eye, ran the patch. A Peculiar Discovery

The night before Halloween, Lily decided to take one last stroll through the pumpkin patch. The moon hung high in the sky, casting long, eerie shadows across the field. Startled but determined, Lily carefully took the orb and closed the tiny door. She knew she had been entrusted with a great responsibility. From that day on, Lily visited the Great Pumpkin every Halloween Eve, ensuring that the spirit of Halloween remained safe and sound in Sunnyvale.
