The Best Kind of Hero: My Mom
My mom is my hero, and I'm going to tell you why! Some people think heroes wear capes and fly around saving the world, but my mom shows me that being a hero is about so much more than that. She might not have superpowers, but she has something even better: a super heart!
First, my mom is super kind. She always knows the right thing to say when I'm feeling sad or scared. For example, when I didn't make the soccer team, I was really bummed. My mom sat with me, listened to me cry, and reminded me that trying my best is what matters most. She then helped me practice so I could try out again next year! That is kindness in action.
Second, my mom is super brave. She works hard every day, even when things get tough. She faces challenges head-on and never gives up. One time, our car broke down on the way to school. Instead of panicking, she calmly called for help and kept me entertained with stories until the tow truck arrived. That takes guts!
Third, my mom is super smart. She helps me with my homework, answers all my questions (even the silly ones!), and always teaches me new things. She knows so much about the world, and she's always eager to share her knowledge with me. Because of her, I love learning!
Some people think heroes need to be famous or have special powers. But I think heroes are the people who make a difference in our lives every day. My mom is my hero because she's kind, brave, and smart. She makes my world a better place just by being herself. That's why I love my mom!
- Bummed: Sad or disappointed.
- Kindness: Being friendly, generous, and helpful.
