Where They Live

Polar bears live in the Arctic. This is a very cold place with lots of ice and snow. It is at the top of the world! They need the ice to hunt for food.

Staying Warm

Polar bears have thick fur. This fur keeps them warm even when it is very, very cold. They also have a layer of fat under their skin. This fat is like a warm blanket that helps them stay cozy.

What They Eat

Polar bears love to eat seals. They wait by holes in the ice. When a seal comes up for air, the polar bear catches it. They are very good hunters!
