Mr. Riley was not like other fourth-grade teachers. For one, he wore the brightest, most colorful jackets you'd ever seen. Today's jacket looked like someone had painted the rainbow all over it! But it wasn't just his clothes. It was his ideas.

Instead of boring worksheets, Mr. Riley had adventures. He turned history lessons into plays where kids dressed up as kings and queens. Math problems became scavenger hunts around the classroom. Science class meant building volcanoes that actually erupted (with baking soda and vinegar, of course!).

It was Teacher Appreciation Week, and the fourth graders wanted to show Mr. Riley how much they cared. They decided to make a giant card. Lily drew a huge volcano. Ben wrote a poem about Mr. Riley's crazy jackets. Everyone signed their name.

On Friday, they presented the card to Mr. Riley. His eyes grew wide, and a big smile spread across his face. "This is...amazing!" he said. He looked at each student, one by one.

That's when Mr. Riley realized something important. It wasn't just the fun activities or the colorful jackets. His superpower wasn't teaching facts; it was helping his students believe in themselves. He inspired them to be curious, creative, and brave. And that, he knew, was the best gift he could give.
