Happy or Mad: What Helps?
Sometimes, we get mad. It is okay to feel mad, but we need to know what to do when we are mad. Two things you can do are talk about it or draw a picture.
Talking About It
When you talk about why you are mad, you tell someone how you feel. You can tell your mom, dad, or a friend. When you talk, they can help you feel better. They can hug you or say kind things. Talking can help you feel less mad.
Drawing a Picture
When you draw a picture of your mad feelings, you can show what it looks like. You can use crayons or markers. You can draw fast lines or dark colors. Drawing can help you get the mad out of your body. It can be a fun way to feel better.
Which Is Best?
Talking and drawing are good ways to feel better when you are mad. Some kids like to talk. Some kids like to draw. You can try both and see which one helps you the most. The best thing is to find a way to make the mad go away!
