Garden or Store: Where to Get Food?

Some people think it is good to grow food in a garden. Other people think it is better to buy food at a store. Both ways can give us food to eat. Which way is better?

Growing Food in a Garden

If you grow food, you can pick it when it is ready. You know where it comes from. You can grow food that you like to eat. But, it takes time to grow food. You need to water the plants. You need to pull out weeds. It can be hard work. Sometimes bugs eat the plants before you can.

Buying Food at a Store

If you buy food at a store, you can get it fast. The store has many kinds of food. You can get food even if it is not the right season to grow it. But, the food might come from far away. You don't know how they grew the food. Sometimes, the food costs more money at the store.

Which is Better?

Both ways to get food are good. Growing food can be fun, but it takes work. Buying food is easy, but it can cost more. Maybe the best way is to do both! You can grow some food and buy some food. Then you get the best of both worlds.
