Sometimes, things can make you feel scared. Maybe it's the dark, or a loud noise, or trying something new. It's okay to feel scared. Everyone does sometimes.
Ask for Help
When you feel scared, you can ask a friend for help. A friend can hold your hand when it's dark. A friend can tell you it's okay when there's a loud noise. Friends can try new things with you. It can feel good to have someone with you when you are scared. It's brave to ask for help.
Be Brave by Yourself
Sometimes, you might want to be brave by yourself. You can take a deep breath and tell yourself it's okay. You can try to be strong even if you are scared. It can feel good to do something hard all by yourself. It's brave to try by yourself.
Which is Braver?
Is it braver to ask a friend to help you, or to try by yourself? Both are brave! It's okay to ask for help. It's also okay to try by yourself. The best thing to do is to do what feels right for you. Be brave in your own way!
