What's at the Center?

The Sun is the heart of our solar system. It's a giant ball of hot gas that gives off light and heat. Everything in the solar system, including Earth, travels around the Sun. The Sun's gravity keeps all the planets in orbit.

The Planets: Our Neighbors

There are eight planets in our solar system. They are divided into two groups: inner and outer planets.
