Ducks in the Park
Have you ever seen a duck in a park? Ducks love to swim in the pond. They also like to walk on the grass.
What Ducks Eat
Ducks eat bugs and plants. Sometimes, people give them bread. But bread is not very good for ducks. It is like candy for us! Ducks need to eat healthy foods to grow big and strong. They eat things from the water.
Duck Homes
Ducks make nests near the water. The nests keep their eggs safe. Baby ducks, called ducklings, hatch from the eggs. The mommy duck takes care of them. She teaches them how to swim and find food. The ducklings follow her everywhere.
Ducks in Winter
When it gets cold, some ducks fly away. They go to places that are warmer. Other ducks stay in the park. People help them by giving them food and keeping the pond from freezing. Ducks are fun to watch all year round!
