Have you ever seen a bee buzzing around a flower? Bees are small, flying insects that are very important to our world. They help plants grow by moving pollen from one flower to another. This is how plants make seeds and fruits.

Bees have fuzzy bodies with black and yellow stripes. They have six legs and two pairs of wings. Bees also have special parts called antennae. They use these to smell and feel things.

What Do Bees Eat?

Bees love to eat nectar from flowers. Nectar is a sweet liquid that flowers make. Bees also collect pollen. They use pollen and nectar to make honey. Honey is a sweet food that bees eat, and people like to eat it too!

Where Do Bees Live?

Bees live together in big families called colonies. They live in a hive. A hive is like a bee's house. In each hive, there is one queen bee. The queen bee lays all the eggs. There are also worker bees. They do all the work to keep the hive safe and clean.
